MT. JULIET, Tenn. – The Mt. Juliet Fire Foundation was honored to join the City of Mt. Juliet, local first responders, community leaders and residents for a special remembrance honoring the lives lost and sacrifices made on September 11, 2001.
The ceremony brought the Mt. Juliet community together to reflect on a day that forever changed our nation and to remember the 2,977 lives lost in the attacks, including the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice while answering the call to help others.
For the Mt. Juliet Fire Foundation, participating in the remembrance held special meaning as the organization continues its mission of supporting those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving the community.
“September 11 is a day we can never allow ourselves to forget,” said Linn Yeager of the Mt. Juliet Fire Foundation. “We were honored to stand alongside our firefighters, first responders, city leaders and neighbors to remember those we lost and pay tribute to the incredible courage and sacrifice shown that day. More than 25 years later, their legacy of service continues to inspire all of us.”
The remembrance served not only as an opportunity to honor those who lost their lives, but also as a reminder of the extraordinary bravery displayed by first responders on September 11 and the unity that followed across communities throughout the country.
The Mt. Juliet Fire Foundation is grateful to the City of Mt. Juliet for continuing to provide a place for the community to gather, reflect and ensure the stories and sacrifices of September 11 are never forgotten.
